The Climate of, and Weather in, the Languedoc:   Wind:   Le Vent Cers

Languedoc Winds: The Tramontane from the north-west, the Cers from the West or South West, the Sirocco from the south, the Autan (blanc and noir), from the south-east, and the warm marine Marin wind from the Mediterranean. The Cers wind blows from the West or South West in the bas Languedoc and often heralds sunny warm weather.  It is generally cold in winter, and warm in summer, but always dry.  (Around Narbonne it is also known as the narbonnais).
