Getting to the Languedoc:  Commercial Airlines and Charter Flights

Commercial Airlines.

From the UK or Ireland your best bet is use a cheap airline such as Ryanair or Flybe, although British Airways and even Air France are now being forced to quote almost commercially reasonable prices on occassion.

Prices are generally lower if you book on-line (links below) and chose dates mid week. Most of the flights listed below are daily.

Note on Alghero: it was: founded By Doria family Of Genoa in the 12th Cen.; Became a Catalan colony under Peter IV of Aragon in 1354. It was the Residence Of Emperor Charles V From 1541; Noted as the only town in Italy where the Catalan Language is still spoken. The town also has Aragonese Architecture.
