You have a wide choice of places to swim.    There is the whole of the coast along the Gulf of Lyon, part of the Mediterranean Sea, numerous lakes and rivers, and also swimming pools.  Some thermal spa towns have naturally heated swimming pools which can be fun at night and during the winter.
